Annus horribilis exhibition 2021

Annus Horribilis is the name of the exhibition.
It is a phrase that means a year of misfortune brought to providence by The Queen in 1992 when she experienced a particularly bad year involving a fire at her home and Diana’s tell-tale book.

March 2020 to March 2021 has been a horrible year for everyone due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
As a society we have had to adapt and University is no exception with a change to online learning.
As students we have carried on with our studies and the past year will no doubt have influenced our work. This exhibition is a cathartic attempt to overcome those obstacles.

The exhibition comprises of five individuals whose work deals with different subjects ranging from mental health, bondage and lack of freedom, divisions created by social media and ancient Indian folklore by artists Molly Lawton, Ruqayyah Muhungoo, Nick Goodall, Tom Clogg and Russell Jones.
